Lake Bonavista is a neighbourhood in Southeast Calgary. It is bounded by Anderson Road to the north, Macleod Trail to the west, Canyon Meadows Drive to the south, and Bow Bottom Trail to the east. The small community of Bonavista Downs resides in the northeast corner of the neighbourhood.
Lake Bonavista Homeowners Association Ltd. (LBHA) is a private park in the community of Lake Bonavista and is accessible by membership only! Homeowners MUST have our Encumbrance listed on their land title to qualify for membership. Membership is mandatory for all LBHA Encumbrance properties!
The LBHA has a recreation centre with indoor ice rinks, a gymnasium, a fitness facility and more, and is open to the public. Swimming opens in the Spring as soon as the water is warm enough and remains open throughout the Summer.
Lake Bonavista Homeowners Association holds a commercial license that permits members to fish at the lake. The lake is stocked twice a year, spring and fall, mostly with rainbow trout. We have also stocked Brown, Brook and Tiger Trout. No live bait!
